The Arduino Mega 2560 is a high-performance microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560, designed for projects that require extensive inputs, outputs, and larger memory capacity. Compared to smaller boards, the Mega 2560 provides significantly more digital pins and program space, making it ideal for complex robotics systems, CNC machines, 3D printers, home automation, and industrial control applications.
It features 54 digital I/O pins (15 PWM outputs), 16 analog input pins, 4 hardware serial ports (UARTs), and a 16 MHz crystal oscillator for stable performance. With 256KB of Flash memory, 8KB SRAM, and 4KB EEPROM, it easily handles larger and more advanced code.
The board connects to a computer via USB and is compatible with the Arduino IDE, supporting a wide range of shields and modules.
